The Clarion Call

The Clarion Call for “courageous leadership” led by the Goundswell was initiated in September and is being carried through in the run up to COP28 and the political conclusion to the Global Stocktake.
The purpose of the Call is to
- Demonstrate that transformations are possible and are slowly happening (e.g.: we are on track to triple renewable power from solar and wind by 2030 and grow EV sales to surpass two thirds of all car sales by 2030, putting both of these sectors on track for net zero).
- Outline the high-level outcomes which need to be delivered for this change to happen at the speed and scale required, using COP28 as a unique opportunity to respond to the Global Stocktake and map out a collective plan into 2024 and up to 2030.
- Call for bold leadership, collaboration and teamwork between all stakeholders to respond to these high level signals and drive the exponential change needed.
Expected at COP
Advocacy and, potentially, events to put forward the message. The Call is also working with stakeholders on tailored activations, such as signed letters to heads of State, events with named speakers, videos, and adverts.
